Have you had any problems with water getting into the cabin.

Check out the How 2 for cleaning out your scuttle panel.

If your blower is squeeling, it can be one of three things..

    1) A leaf or something partially obstructing the airflow within the air-vent trunking
    2) The ventilation flaps on your dash are not properly open or closed

    3) Or the only expensive one..the bearing in your blower motor is possibly corroded or binding up.
This is common where water has got into the cabin through the pollen filter aperture in the top of the bulk head.

When it does this, the water flows directly onto your motor and resister pack, causing the resistor pack to go pop, or the motor spindle / bearings to corrode and seize up.

Remove your glove box to take a proper look at your fan motor.

Just be careful where you pour the 3in1 oil, don't want the whole cabin stinking of oil.
The centre metal spindle is where you need to oil

There is bags of space to get at the motor, if you take the pollen filter out first...only takes about 20 seconds to remove the filter....dead easy!!

    Thumbs up Felixx.

I went through a faze where my heater kept blowing resistors. Was told it needed a new blower motor. Thanks to info off this site I fixed the resistor using the "Halfords"method!!,however,to the point, whilst I had the glove box out I sprayed the heater motor with WD40,and,for extra measure, also via the pollen filter inlet.
Resistor still going strong and no noises from the blower motor.Felixx.
