Surely they wouldn't fit?

The offset would be all wrong as an Omega is rear wheel drive.

hmm, i know a few boys over on VVOC are running them on the Vec b's mate, just have to change the tyres from 245/ to 205/215's

Can't see the advantage in fitting narrower width tyres just for the sake of 'styling'. Surely it would affect the handling as you've a narrower footprint on the road?

no mate its not for styling, the 245 tyres on the omega rims wont fit on the vec b, they rub on the arches as they are too wide.
