Little or no chance of getting any extra power worth mentioning. 10bhp at most with an exhaust change and a K and N filter. Had a 1.8 myself and its was a little under powered for the size of the Vectra C. You will need to spend a couple of K before you get anywhere near a decent improvement in power. I sold mine and got a 1.9CDTi and and a BSR remap, exhaust and panel filter and am happy with about 190bhp. If I remember My 1.8 was 122/125 bhp fitted with twin exhaust and K and N cone.
only been driving a year so should be notice a difference to a 125 zetec then lol
It's a bit pedestrian at the lower revs, but open up the 1.8 and it's reasonably pokey.
Also, a nice reliable engine in the Vectra range.
I found the 1.8 engine to be good if you pushed the revs and it was solid as well. I did 40K in mine with no trouble at all.
I would suggest looking at the suspension rather than the engine for more power. The drivability can be improved allowing go to go round corners that bit faster. Would suggest a set of Bilstein B6's with Eibach pro springs or if money is tight B4's. you will notice the difference with either especially as yours in an elegance model.
Trade it in for a 1.9CDTI
