Default Someone crashed into my wifes car!!!!!

Wife was wautin to pull away from some lights, and a car hit her from the rear......She pulled to 1 side got out no damage (so she says) and none on the old blokes car.....I am stuck on the rig so phone her, ask if everthing ok and she tells me this.........No one was hurt anyway....so i say dont worry i will take it to a body shop for them to have a look at when i get home....You got all his details yes, she replied NO....i went mental....But at least it was her car not mine.....Was i right to go mental??? Would you???

Hmmm, I would have been more gentle about it and reassuring. But thats just me.

So many people do not know what to do in those circumstances. Just be glad nobody was hurt

people dont think straight in accident situations. She may have felt vulnerable being a woman on her own and didn't want the confrontation of asking for details. I think going mental at her was a bit harsh. It was a daft mistake, but nothing more.

My wife is more pedantic than me...she would have all the details, and be on the phone to the insurance, before the car had come to a stand-still. lol

Time waits for no man...and neither does my wife!!

If she's right, no damage and no-one hurt, then a little reassurance would have been better - cars can be fixed easier than people.
Maybe put a card or something in the glove box or sun visor in case there's a next time, ie 1. Get witness details, 2. get other party details, 3. Anyone hurt or no insurance, call cops/ambulance, whatever you think may need doing.
