vectra 1.9 cdti auto fuel consumption problem

hi all, my 57 plate vectra 1.9 cdti auto has an intermittent problem with idling and fuel'consumption. It judders when idling with the brakes on and the on board comp shows average consumption of 1gallon per hr rather than 0.1 gallon per hr when car is ok

Its not a problem its the DPF regenerating at a guess.
