has anyone got any good news about owning acddti 150
iif i'd read this furum before buying one i'd probably not got
one .i may have ended up with mundano (god forbid)
i just thought it would be nice for a prospective owner to read some
happy owners tales of trouble free motoring.

    Thumbs up

Although I have had the usual CDTi check list of things that have needed changing... it hasn't altered the fact that I am enjoying ownership of this car more than any other car I've owned...and there's been plenty over the last 23 years!

The pre-facelift we had up until a couple of years ago was perfect.

The facelift has been OK until about 8 months ago, now the flat spot wont go and its driving me round the bend!

It is a by-product of our need for knowledge that most car forums and I have experience in recent times of four brands, that generally all we read and mostly post is the bad side of ownership. The CDTi in both flavours are very widely used and in the main very good engines, that we have seen issues relating to EGR swirl valves and No. 3 injector did not put me off in any way as the car itself is very well put together the problems are so well documented and spares and ability to repair them is also very well detailed on here I have to say, that against the current Passat, Volvo S60, Saab, Audi, I went with the Vectra, informed eyes open and in good company.

They are spectacular value for money drive very nicely and should with thought and care run for many tens of thousands of miles.

Just my humble opinion (yo don't want to know the issues the Passat can have!!!! one word,,,,,, handbrake!

I've had mine over a year and a half now. I've had some of the 150's checklist problems but once you get it remapped and tune it then it'll be the fastest diesel in the Vectra range

mine even broke down on the test drive with egr problems but i still had to have it cause i liked the car so much, every car has problems it dont mean the one you get will have any.
if you buy one from vaux make sure you get 12 month network q that alone will save you money
