Default Are all vauxhall dealers rip off merchants?

Recently i had a top intercooler hose go on my 2.2dti,so i rang the local dealers and got quoted £52 for a replacement so i ordered it.

Today i went to pick up the hose and they had ordered the wrong part so i told them which hose had gone and they happily quoted me £150 as you cant just buy the rubber hose u also have to buy the steel tube that goes to the intercooler

All i can say is i'm putting a used hose on and probably getting shot of it, This car has been the most unreliable and expensive car i've ever owned

I wouldn't trust any of them as far as I could throw them, they like to suck you in and then try to bleed you dry.Don't go near them unless your desperate.

Thats just daft though , when u can undo the jubilee clip and seperate it from the pipe. As i said its a total rip off,i wonder how many ppl have had to buy all that junk that they dont need just to get the rubber hose.

I went with the uprated silicon 1 on ebay for £62, at least i only had to buy the hose that i needed

Its not the dealers who decide which parts come in seperate pieces or complete units its VAUXHALL. All manufacturers are the same, bumping the price up on parts that commonly fail etc etc.
