Has any one tried these lights out yet?? The only problem is the price 20 pounds, but then if there canbus then they got to be worth it

Ive got ones like them, from different company, there really good, used on number plate and side lights.
So far I have not found an LED 501 replacement lamp that doesn't pulse for 10 secs or so when you switch off, and pulse with the ignition on but lights off - that includes ones claiming to be 'CanBus friendly' or'won't cause bulb failure warnings'.
The flat 4 SMD type seem to be the best so far - rarely give a failure warning.
The T type 8 SMD ones show a failure warning every single time.
These ones I haven't tried yet, so if you give them a go do let us know what happens.
Oh, and it's not an MoT test point if they pulse with the lamp check system, so no MoT failure to worry about.
The only other problem i have come across using LED's is that they are bringing the front indicators on permanently. LED bulbs bring the warning up as they only use 1.5 watts as standard 501's are 5 watts.
I've seen this on other Vectras, its the canbus system using another bulb for safety because it thinks one has blown, like with the rear's if a brake light bulb fails it will use the side light and vice-versa. Clever for safety reasons I think.
i have tried these in the old vec, pulsed for ages in my car, had a warning come up about once every 3weeks but only on for a second on startup and then it went rite out, nice and bright bulbs though, and when you go to fit it is a very tight fit to squeeze them into bulb holders, but just keep pushing and they will slot in eventually!
now in stock so i have bought a set now. going to see how i get on with them
