Default Flex-ride option on a new car

I am still thinking about whether to specify the Flexride option on my new Insignia hatchback Sri 160?
I wonder if anyone in the forum who has it can shed some light on my questions please.
Does the system really make a difference? Especially in the Sports mode. It mentions in the manual that it is possible in some models to be able to press the “Config” button and change some of the settings like steering, suspension and power? Has anyone in the forum had a real good play with the settings?
I had a test drive on of non-Flexride car and it seemed OK suspension wise?
Is it possible to program the “Tourer” mode in the same way as the Spots mode?
Thanking you in advance for any help on this topic
    Kind regards
    Bryan

You can't tailor it to your own requirements. You just have the three settings.

But if you have the option of getting it, then do it. I had one for 3 days whilst waiting for my car, and the tour option on the motorway with an SRi on 20's is fantastic.

Then hit the sport button and you feel everything tighten up.

The instruments changing from white to red is worth all the money on it's own!

Actually, you can tune the sport mode to you own requirements; there's a config menu to turn all individual elements of the Sport mode on/off.

Overall, the sport button is a great feature; it makes a really noticeable difference to the ride and handling. The touring button is also worthwhile for smooth motorway runs.

I thought the intruments went red on all Insignia models not ony flexride.

What colour will thye be on a 2.0 SRI 160? I thought they were red.

Also just had a call and have a build date of 7th June and dealer reckons car should be with me for week starting 14th, is that normal?

Nope, The centre console on all Insignia's are red, but the instruments have a white glow to them. But if you have flexride and press Sport, they glow red.

Regarding your delivery, if you have a build date if 7th June, you won't have it by the 14th.

Once off the sales line in the factory, it has to be shipped to the UK, then passed onto the UK transportation company for delivery to the dealer. I would expect a good week to 2 weeks to get it to the dealer after it's build date.

Cheers, thanks for the info. Dealer said week of the 14th so if it goes to 21st then rougly two weeks from build date.

Shame about the red glow, all the pictures seem to show it, ah well.

Your right they do, all the interior shots are of cars with Flex and the sport button pressed.
