Default New Astra, I tried one

I was "Darn Sarf" on Thursday, and at the scare port got chatting to the girl on the rental desk and I quipped my usual "got anything decent for me" so she looked at the key fob said,,,, " Got a Corsa,,,,,,,,,,,,, but let me have a look,,,,,, Do you want the new Astra?"

    Hmmmmm did I,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

So off I went in my first trial of the new Astra it was a 1.6 petrol bottom spec car but still, I got enough to know it's a decent little machine, but is a clone of the Insignia when the Astra previously had much more it's own feel and identity, It was reasonably quick reasonably quiet reasonably well equipped, it was, well,,, reasonable!

I found the rear lights nice the front indicators quirky but didn't move me. I have always had a soft spot for Vectras first the B, and I was so smitten by my Ceramic Blue SRi 2.0 with blue feature cloth, loved all my Vectra C rentals especially the SRi and Design's, but feel a lack of connection to the Insignia and Newest Astra for some reason, beautiful cars but I have not reached them yet.
