    Default Dpf cleaning?

    Is there a way of cleanin your dpf with actually replacing it?

    It regenerates itself or i believe you can do a forced regen if its plugged into the computer.

    Will it not regenerate itself?

    You can force a regen with a diag but you need to make sure your engine is tip top if you choose to go down that road as the diag will hold the revs at about 4000 for 20 mins or so. You need to make sure there's plenty of good cleanish oil in it and plenty of water and that the timing belt is ok otherwise you could be in for a world of pain. The other alternative is go and sit on the motorway for a while and check your mirrors for smoke, if it starts smoking it is regenerating itself. Hope this helps.

    Give it a hard blast up to the red line for a few miles in other words drive it like you stole it lol that should blast
    it all out if that does not work and it's
    blocked the only other waynis a replacement dpf or to rip the insides out and stick it back on crimp over the pipe then bobs your uncle no dpf apart from a few smokey regens lol but a remap will cure that problem

    mine is prety much brim the tank the as winnie said just boot it a bit never had a prob with it. does it at the worst time sometimes but never mind

    some places now offer a cleaning service ..they take it and clean it out some how .. this is a new service so it isnt proved yet .......

    dad's pug we used to take it off and steam clean it through once every 3-4 months, but he is a taxi
