S46812 SIGNET BRAKE REWIND TOOL
Have consideration for the deaf, if you're gunna fart, make it smell !
Not used one like that, had one with body and threaded bit plus plate for winding pistons back in. Was pretty useful, attached on to caliper then cup on threaded bit fits on piston and winds it back in - till my bro in law borrowed it, now he won't return it, asked several times and he says I don't really need it, I just want it, he will decide when I need it and return it then, maybe.
I've got the snap on air powered one, its awesome as it keeps constant pressure on the caliper while you wind it back. cant see how thats gonna give you any push on the piston while you wind it.
Phil you need preasure on the tool when winding it back in. So that one you shown will not be any good.
I bought one similar, and it didn't fit the holes in the piston face. Ended up using a pair of pointed pliers. It was a bit awkward - can't remember if I had to have the handbrake applied on not applied, but I managed to do it without a special tool. I think the piston would turn without actually retracting, which is presumably why the proper tool applies pressure.
i got one and it did not fit. go to halfrauds and get the laser one use a grinder and grind down the nipples a little bit untill they fit in the holes on the piston.
I can lend him my portable compressor. Phil is a good mate of mine. Choice is up to him.
Thats what I use being mobile it does the job for now til I get a unit and then I'll get a beefier one.
