Default EDS Remap on 2.8 V6 Turbo. Your thoughts?

I have a 55 plate Signum 2.8 V6 Turbo, been to MPG where I was told about the EDS remap, good for 305bhp apparently, see quite a few people on here with EDS Remaps in sigs etc and looked through a few of the older remap threads but wondered what you guys with the remaps thought, are they worth the cash outlay? mpg effected much? any issues? etc?

Mine is about 240bhp i think now so increase to 300 would be nice.

    cheers all.

I've not long had the signum had to sell my SLK32 AMG when the company car went so I could fit the kids and dogs in, miss the raw power of the SLK, that was nearly 400bhp (it could tear your face off) so at the mo the standard signum feels abit weedy.

seems a no brainer I know for the remap but always good to ask opinions.

getting the car lowered and camber etc setup to while there so should hopefully be a totally different car.

Possibly looking at getting a 2.8t Siggy myself as a replacement for my Siggy 2.0T. Do you have any pics? What spec is it?

I've got the elite, elec heated leather seats, nav, climate control etc etc all the bits except the parking sensors and the extra roof storage bit.

will get some pics once i have it lowered etc at MPG, just waiting on springs to come in.

going for the k&n filter to while i'm there.

Went to MPG last week to have some bits done.

Had eibach springs fitted to lower Signum about 30mm
    laser alignment
back wheel camber and toe in etc set
    K&N panel air filter
EDS VXR remap producing 305 BHp / 500 torque

    So my thoughts?

Well car actually goes round a corner now, pretty flat to, hated the wallow of the standard elite spring, with the camber and lowering together its transformed the feelings of the car. Back wheels feel glued to the road, as for comfort, its still good, kids havent moan yet and even the missus asked if 'I'd had the work done yet'

Now the important bit, the remap, its awesome. Best word for it. Car feels twice as quick as it was, will pull in any gear and when the turbo kicks in just under 3k you can leave most things for dead.

So far I've done some errr test runs and I always have a smile on my face! fuel consumtion at the moment is still bad but thats cause I constantly have my foot to the floor to enjoy the new power!

Only been a week so give me some more time and I'll post some further thoughts.

Big thank you to all at MPG, especially Ian for the work he's done and the speed it was carried out at!
