    Default A word of warning!!

Hi all thought I'd better let you all into the problems i've encountered. As some of you may know I fitted vxr springs on my CDTi altough they look awesome and have completely sorted the handling they have also completely goosed my shocks (standard diesel issue) and top mounts (possibly) so just a word of warning to you all that this is a potential problem. My bargain springs aren't looking like so much of a bargain now

Just an update to the above, the top mounts were fine just the shockers goosed, maybe it was a coincidence as they have done 101k, 60 quid and an hours work and we're good as new (til the next issue). Put monroe gas shocks on it now, anyone got any feedback on these?

Lowered springs will always show up nearly knackered shockers.

Monroe shocks have a good reputation, you shouldn't have any problems with them

They gave me a 25mm drop on standard shocks, perfect for me as the speed bumps round here are like bl**dy everest, just finished off my very worn shocks but still 60 quid for some new shocks is a damn sight cheaper than buying genuine vxr springs (i got them for free) so I suppose its all good really

How many shocks did you get for £60? That sounds really cheap?
