Hiya, I heard that the 120hp, 8v engine, is a NON interference engine ( i.e. the valves don't come in contact with the pistons if there is a timing problem) but they weren't 100% sure, does anyone here know?

As far as I know they are, but they break the rockers rather than bend the valves.
The 8v engine will destroy itself if the cam belt goes, the pistons will hit the valves.
The 16v as said by Big Sig only breaks the rockers.
The 120 is an interference engine it is possible for them to just crack the shim buckets, Replace them and re ajust the shims and all could be well. The 150 has rockers and tend to just break them
The 150 has rockers? Man what a step back

They are small roller rockers sit on top of valves that the cam runs on, Same design as the z10xe, z12xe,z22xe, pug hdi motors..
seems from 6 chassi on the rockers are up graded and they now dont break lol ive just done a 150 with six bent valves and broken guides and no broken rockers ....
