Default Vectra Number 3 in 11 months has arrived today :)

    28th May 2009 - 18th June 2009 : Vectra SRi V6 CDTi Estate - W/O R.I.P

30th July 2009 - 14th May 2010 : Vectra Elite V6 CDTi Estate - P/X Bye bye bus, it was nice while it lasted, but I dont want to buy you a new DMF. I will miss your V6 loveliness.

    14th May 2010 - Vectra Elite 2.2i Direct

Its a 56 Plate, 27k Miles, nice condition, vx FSH. Just got to get used to putting in petrol instead of diesel now. Thought I would miss the power / pull of the V6, but this is a great little car (little in comparison to what I have been driving!). Really pleased with it. Was almost a straight swap for the bus on p/x bar a couple of hundred pounds, which I thought it was worth since the bus had 54k miles and has the death rattle.

I have new car syndrome again now, just want to go out for a drive!

Am I right in thinking the 2.2 Direct is chain driven?

I am really pleased to see the road fund tax drop £25 - My insurance drop £150 (an it renews in 2 weeks, so got in there just in time!) - If it is chain driven then that will be another future saving I can add to my list!

2.2 is indeed chain driven, but don't stop saving, as fuel pump issues are common with this engine and can be expensive fixes.

If you start seeing warning lights and engine hesitation, ring your bank manager.

Why did you sell the V6? Only because it had a bad DMF? Shame mate...I did 20k with mine and it still felt the same to drive as the day I got it. Now on my second V6CDTi and the DMF is rattling...who cares lol
