Can anyone recommend some cheap components for a straight swap (ie I don't plan on wiring them to an amp)?

Saw some Vibes for £90 to sort front and rear.

Just looking for better sound quality than the standard ones

the oem speakers are great, you may not really hear a difference, unless they fed by an amplifier. however, i'm not a fan of vibe/fli, and for the small extra £££ i'd be looking at focal access, as this is what ive just fitted, do you have an ebay account? look at these, great price, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FOCAL-ACCESS-1...item5887a26332
saving £35 on what mine cost my brother-in-law.
whats an extra £17 for that quality.
i have these fitted, and have only tested them through an amplifier, and they are the b0ll0cks, theyre currently running through the HU until my DLS CA31 arrives, cant wait.
another word of advice would be to save your money (£15ish) and scrap buying the speaker adaptors because they simply dont fit, (well they do but the door card wont fit back on properly, and will rub on the glove box), and cut your own from mdf (12mm) or send me £4 and i'll give you some. hope that helps. michael

yes i've got vibe slick black air components very good upgrade sound qaulity a lot better than the standard speakers but definately need to be run through amp. if i had the money though focal would be my choice too

and yes i had to make my adapters out of mdf too, the ones meant for it dont allow the doorcard to fit on properly my glove box hit the card as it opened. so made myself.
