that was the next thing i was going to try but it dosn't look like new wipers will fix it as it looks like patches on the windscreen.

Sounds like it could be the wipers that are dirty or needing changed. Give the w/screen another thorough clean and stick a new set of decent blades on like bosch, i always find them to be spot on.

Mine done this, cleaned the screen with Rain X from Halfords and fitted some flat blade wipers from Vauxhall, and it's gone.

Have a look at my thread from a couple of weeks ago. Sounds like the same issue.
I think I titled it 'Smeary windscreen'.

new wipers seems to have solved the problem, still get slight smear, basically just bought tesco £3 wipers and replaced the passenger side and used the new rubber from the teco one and put it into the gm wiper with spoiler all good.

Try a damp cloth with washing up liquid, and give the the window a wipe over. worked for me when I had it.

still had some smearing but have now got rid of the problem, i blasted my windscreen with my pressure washer at close range and have blasted away whatever was causing the problem.
