    Default Removal of side badges&glue

I,ve got the badges off no problems and on the drivers side I was left with a sticky residue that cleaned off fine, however the other side the foam came off fine but I,m left with a very hard glue

    So far I,ve tried
    • Clay bar
    • T-cut
    • Hair dryer
    • Hot water
    • Boiling water
    • Solvent cleaner (Great for getting rid of tar spots!)
Nothin is touching it even the boiling water does not soften it. Anyone else have this prob? If so how did you get it off because its looking like the sander is going to come out soon

Sounds like it has been super glued to me mate.
I had the same problem with mine.
No matter what you put on it it will not come off.
I ended up using acetone (well nail polish remover from the mrs) and used my car key to chip it off. If the panel is pretty wet with acetone the key does not scratch the panel and you can slide it along the panel and chip away at the glue.
It worked on my car and i had a fair bit of glue on the passenger door where some burk had stuck an expression badge on.
I only used acetone as it dissolves glue but if it is rock hard it will not touch it. I ended up using it as lubrication for the key chipping in the end.

Label remover all the way, you'll be seriously shocked at how easily this stuff makes such a job.

Used it for the same thing on my Vec!
I also used it to remove stickers on the headlamps of my 306, once removed there was just this clean patch surrounded by scratches where the last owner tried to use wet/dry in his desperation to remove it.
