Default knock from engine as pulling off 2.2 DTI

    Hi,

I have noticed on my 2.2 DTI that as I am pulling off, there seems to be what sounds like a knock coming from the engine, but as soon as I've pulled off it's then gone, Now I have a sticking calliper on the drivers side rear wheel so I don't know if it's just that putting the engine under more strain at very low revs, or there's a problem somewhere. I only notice it when the windows are up, if the windows are down then the engine seems too sound fine.

Also when changing gear, I can hear the turbo "dump" and also hear the turbo through acceleration (when window is open), I wouldn't have thought you would hear this on a diesel really, is this ok or maybe a small problem e.g boost leak or something?

Check the radiator mounts matey, they are a common problem,

And as for the turbo noise....welcome to the world of the DTi

    It's totally normal

I noticed earlier on while cleaning the car that the engine cover isnt bolted in at all, just loose, but will check the radiator also when I go back out in a minute,

Cool, glad its normal, as can't beat a little bit of dump noise when changing gear haha.

    Thanks for the reply pal.
