Air Con Query

Anyone recommend an aircon engineer (mobile or garage based) in Brighouse/Bradford/Leeds/Halifax area?

Local garage identified that the system on my Vectra C 1.9 CDTi won't repressurise but can't identify fault - so needs further investigation.

Purge with nitrogen 10psig and spray components with leak spay(soapy water).

When I took mine the first thing was to test for leaks using nitrogen and dye which will show any leak. No point in filling system with gas if you've got a leak. Word of warning, aircon parts can be expensive. Hope you get it sorted.

How much was the test & regass?

Hi, to test the system for leaks is £25, if leak found that's what you pay because it's pointless regassing it. If no leak found £50 which covers test,checks and regas. If you ring Andy he will explain what he does. I don't know him, found him on interweb, but he knows what he is doing and seems to be a genuine guy.

Hi , I have a 2008 1.9cdti 150 Sri , Just want some help identifying the Aircon recharge valve . Are the aircon pipes the silver ones that run along the front just under the bonnet ?..also how to i know which one is the Recharge.
