Strange one!!

Wipers - The last couple of times taht it has been wet and/or very cold my windscreen wipers have gone 'mental'
Constantly on when on intermittent, not stopping when I turn the engine off, not doing a full swich when i knock the stalk down!
Also - my passenger side electric window will not activate properly.
Then this Sunday on the way to Brands Hatch, the engine managemnet light came on and it felt like the turbo wasnt engaging! NO power!!
I have a 1.9 CDTi (150) '55 (face lift) SRi Estate
Any suggestions!!!

Sounds like a lot of different faults, which don't relate to each other...

Wipers - The last couple of times taht it has been wet and/or very cold my windscreen wipers have gone 'mental'

Check your wiper relay in the Under-hood Electricl Centre...possible corroded / dirty connection...If the relay goes belly up, then the CAN system puts the wipers onto full speed.
Remedy is often to replace the relay..

Also - my passenger side electric window will not activate properly.
Have you had the battery off...if so, then you should reset the windows by holding the the window-up button pressed for approx 5 seconds after the window is fully raised.
Also check your earth links and check the contacts within the switch...you may need to replace the switch itself.

Need to get this diagnosed to know for sure.
Dirty EGR, Dirty Boost Sensor etc..see the How 2 section for these...
Try disconnecting the battery for a few hours...this often clears a lot of temporary faults.

Do you know the history of the vehicle.?..sounds like possibly a few earthing problems, which may occur if work has been done on the car and something has been left disconnected, or if it has been stood for some time allowing some corrosion to occur.

Failing all that...check all your fuses in all three fuse boxes...end of dash, under the bonnet and in the boot.

I had exactly the same problem when I bought my Veccy but I didn't know about this forum so I bought a secondhand switch for £10. I'm lucky there is a scrappy in Plymouth that only scraps Vauxhalls so plenty of spares!
