Default Strange thing happened this morning!!!

Started the car this morning to drive to work and had no power( as if the turbo wasn't working). The spanner light came on so i stopped the car and turned the engine off for about 30 seconds. Then started the car and all seemed well all the way to work and back again. Anyone know what might of caused this and is it likley to happen again or get worse????

hi Stuart - sorry to hear of your dilemma but i cant see from your profile what engine you have?

if its a petrol - could be a small hole in a pressure hosesolenoid valves or turbo recirculating dump valve issue - if its a diesel - lots of potential problems including the above as well

might be worth your while reading the fault by the brake pedal test method and then reporting back with the engine type and the fault code stored

    regards

    Hi
I had asimilar problem - but only occurs in the wet!!
    wipers went 'wierd' too!
what is this 'redaing the fault by the brake pedal test method'?
    I have the 1.9 CDTi (150) engine
    Cheers
