confused Rear suspension being funny but not haha

    Hi all,

Question about my back end excuse the terminology, drivers side rear arch is four inches from as far up as the tape measure would go. Near side is five inches from again as far up as the tape would go. I`m confised as to what may be causing this, i got bilstein b4s and pi 30mm drop springs on the back. Cant figure out whats up as both the springs look ok. Getting a knocking noise going over speed bumps and convinced its the tyre rubbing on the inside of the arch. Everything looks good on the car but severely confussled.

Checked the shocks and no hydraulic fluid to be seen anywhere, goes up and down as expected, maybe one side is stronger than the other any easy way to compare the force comping out of the shocks?

not any easy way that i can think off.. but sure sounds like either shock or spring either broken.

A very crazy bid could be one damper is selfleveling and the other isnt.. as that would make that difference.. but would be suprised if you had that on the car.

Are the springs fitted the right way up. Maybe one is upside down. Not sure it would make a height difference tho but might be worth checking. They usually have writting on them which you should be able to read without turning your head upside down lol

Are the rear trailing arms worn, one side tends to wear out quicker than the other. Again not sure if it would cause a height difference

I have never seen them that cheap and with free postage. Usually they are about £30 each plus postage
