Default Warning light - little pic of an engine

    Hi all

I have the warning light on that looks like a mini engine on the far right bottom of the dash. Anyone any idea what it means? Handbook says somthing to do with exhaust gas flow. My garage couldnt find anything wrong.
Could it be a sensor or somthing?
    any thoughts

    thanks
    Ian

It is the emissions light. Could be either of the 2 o2 sensors or probs with the cat. Have you checked what code it is throwing up?

thanks for that, my garage said they could find no fault but mentioned somthing about the mixture. I wouldnt know where to look for the sensors - are they easy to find ? take out? if so can you describe where to find them and how to get them out ?

yes my warning light is on too, previous owner said as already mentioned above that no fault was found. As per Jeffire's initial response I will have a butchers to try and find out where and how to sort the sensors out.

This light came on my car again yesterday and is still on. It came on a few months ago but a clear of the ECU seemed to get rid of it. Ive cleared Ecu and cleaned the EGR today and still its on. Do you need to clear ECU after cleaning EGR?

I've got her booked in for a service tomorrow so will see what they say.

Took the car out last night and to my great joy the light is out again. Hopefully with the EGR and boost sensor cleaned and a full service this morning she should be running like a dream!
