Default CDTI Oil leak - any ideas?

I've noticed recently that my 1.9 CDTI has been sounding a bit louder at idle, particularly when cold. I haven't lost any performance and I'm still getting over 600 miles on a tank so no problems there.

I opened the bonnet to check the oil level, which is fine, but found this. Does anyone know what may have caused this? Is it easy to fix? Should I take it to the garage to get sorted? I'm not due another service until November. At the last service, a comment was left in the book that there was a slight whistle from the turbo. Personally I thought that turbos were supposed to whistle. It is loud, but then it always has been. Sounds great!

Oh and can someone tell me how I get the engine cover back on coz I sure as hell can't figure it out... Cheers chaps!

Looking as though it's cumming from the oil breather pipe that goes into your camshafts the pipe goes back over your engine to the oil seperator

Check the pipe make sure it's sitting on correct ad has no splits etc

As for turbo whistle mine is loud too but I think they are supposed to be as I am not losing any boost according to my boost gauge and it's boosting at a constant 22psi

VX said it was the pipe. Said it looked worse than it was as the air from the breather was blowing the oil around or something like that. They wanted £271 to replace it and said themselves that it wasn't worth the money so I should just 'keep my eye on it'. Charged me £16 for the inspection and sent me on my merry way.

Found out the cause for being noisy at tickover. Knackered DMF. Having it replaced tomorrow at my local garage for around £800... VX wanted £1441. No thank you very much!
