Possible Vectra CDTI SRI 150 owner

Hi people, searching for a nice reliable family car (3 kids) and the Vectra SRI 150 fits all the requirements but need to do more research which bought me here

My choices are:

A4 1.9 tdi
Mondeo ST TDCI
Vectra CDTI SRI 150
Passat 2.0 TDI 140

All have there good and bad points but as a 20,000mile a year commuter reliability will play a big part but so will performance as i not long sold my Evo8 to fund a new house.

My budget will be £6,500 but can push to £7,500 if need be.

Looking for a 50k-ish mile car but my main question is how are these cars past 100k?

The thing that cought my eye the most about the Vectra was the re-map to 190ish bhp

Any Vectras you look at: ask if and when they have had a new inlet manifold, altenator, EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve, DMF (Dual Mass Flywheel) and DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter). Take the cover off the engine and look to see if the swirl bar has fallen off, esp. if it's pre-2007.

Compared to the Vectra:

• Audi has much smaller boot, better mpg but worse CO2 and is more expensive to purchase.
• Mondeo is a few cm wider, has larger fuel tank, slightly larger boot, is lower ins group and costs about the same.
• Passat has push-button electric hand brake - no handbrake turns in that! Also has smaller boot, not quite as good mpg, higher CO2 and is more expensive to purchase.

The Vectra CDTi SRi 150 seems to prefer longer journeys, at revs >2K. I paid £6,700 for my SRi (estate) in January this year with 82K on the clock. Less miles will obviously be more expensive. It hadn't had the inlet manifold or altenator replaced. It has now and is fun to drive.
