Default Fitting new badges to paint work.. tips?

    Hello,
Debadged the rear of the car but as its a 2.8 Signum due a remap I think it deserves a Vxr badge (Spoke to Vx about a recall to bring out a Vxr Signum but they were having none of it )

Just wondered if anyone has stuck on new badges and if there are any tips?

Obviously it needs cleaning down perfectly... but do I need to apply heat like you do to remove them???

    Cheers
    Luke

    Hi Luke,

as you say = perfectly clean.... and then the bonding agents should do their own job

i would recommend sticking on in a dry and warm climate and then leaving the vehicle so they can "bond" for a few hours before driving

No need to heat up the area, just clean it well & pop the badge on

was going to ask the same question, obviously you should clean the car and then wipe the area your going to stick to with a low strength alcohol wipe etc but what about if the cars been heavily or recently polished?

Do the above or any different tips?

if you want a straight edge - then measure and put masking/upvc tape in place to give you line to work from either that or non permanant marker pen
