    Hi jb1kenoby,

I have just bought myself a double din DVD player for my Vecky and the measurements are the same as of the standard CD30 that is in there at the moment. I haven`t received the new DVD player yet but I was just wondering if you needed a case to place inside the whole before fitting the new player.

    Thanks, Kristy

    hi mate

yes u will need a surround to fill in the gaps, if u look at mine there is a funny black (sent me the wronge colour ) looking surround around my stereo which u can get of ebay but i bought the compelete kit with cage as my stereo did come with that either and cost about £30

I was hoping to get away with only buying the new surround and not the cage as the measurements of the DVD player are the same as the one I have in at the moment. Was hoping to just slot it in like the original. Will give it a try when I get it through the post. And my new sub is on the way as well

    Hi Kristy,

You will probably need to reshape the rear panel of the cage to take your new stereo head unit...all depends where your connector plug is located on the back of the head unit.
If by some miracle, the plug is in exactly the same place as the original plug, then you may not have to modify the cage.

You will also need an aerial plug converter and main connector converter...like an ISO2CAR or SOT lead,

Looks nice, can I ask what it cost? Still have the basic CD30 in mine, would be nice to connect an MP3 or my iPod

to be honest i wasnt cheap as it cost £550 secound hand off ebay but it came with the bluetooth attachment and ipod bits

but the best part of thde stereo is that it records all cds that are but in it and saves them on the hard drive so u no longer need to carry cds
