Thumbs up Laser eye correction vouchers

Ok guys I had my eyes lasered by Optimax in Norwich on 14/4/10 and all I can say is wow huge huge improvement!

Anyhow I have a load of vouchers offering £300 off the price if you decide to get your eyes lasered

And no I,m not plugging this so I get money back (I could choose between £300 or £150) but decided that if it helps someone else get £300 off than its worth it as I bought a voucher off ebay to get £300 off

Anyway if you want then just drop me a line

I had the full works Wavefront,Lasek, and 18mths ago it was £4000 with Optical Express I hated their hard sell so put me right off. Went with Optimax very friendly no pressure and came in at £2900 and -£300 so was £2600 put £1k deposit down (You only need to put £200 down) and then 10mths interest free so £160pcm

Go for an appt see what it comes in at, you may not need wavefront which corrects astigmatism if I had not needed that mine would have been £1600 - £300 = £1300

I have a friend who worked as a nurse for a number of eye laser clinics.... I'd never have this done.

Afraid of MRSA holy cow don,t go to hospital for the operation that could save your life!

Like living? Hell don,t go out of your house in fact don,t take your next breath it could be your last

All I,ll say is at my company about 10 people have had this done including me and we have all been very happy, Personally the freedom of not wearing contacts is worth it for me.

But its a personal choice and I love the way people scaremonger on something they have not had done and do not understand.

I cannot state who or what company this refers to, but.....

My concern is actually more to do with the use of new laser surgery equipment with no training whatsoever.
You see, they test and practice with new equipment on sheeps eyeballs (waste from slaughter houses) until they're happy enough to proceed onto paying customers (which is fair enough!) but in the instance im talking about, head office pushed that aside in favour of meeting targets.
To me, that's darn scary! I don't fancy being the live guinea pig D:

Of all the people I know who've had this done I know of one person who has had major issues and is now effectively blind in one eye. Down side is that it has taken a very long time to get anywhere for compensation.
However that's the only one. It doesn't last for ever as my mum will testify, she had it done 20 years ago, back when it was still a new (and very painful) thing and she started to need to wear glasses for certain things again after about 15 years but for those years she didn't need glasses it was a very positive benefit.
