The stereos can be very tight mate, if you remove the heating panel under the stereo you can push it out with your finger

Also pull the keys slightly to the sides as you pull on them !

Double Din Vauxhall head-units are renowned for being tight in their cages...

Typical How 2 remove the head unit is...

Insert Double din removal keys until they click into their locations.

Whilst pulling the keys slightly outward (to the sides), draw the radio out of it's location.

    Alternatively...

Pull the large centre knob of the air-con control panel..the panel will unclip from the dash panel.
    then..
Insert Double din removal keys until they click into their locations.

Whilst pulling the keys slightly outward (to the sides), draw the radio out of it's location.
Use the face plate flange of the radio to help to pull the radio out.

I normally pull the centre vents and screen out, you can get right in behind the unit then to help "convince" it to come out whilst making sure the keys are in.

I did the same as Ian, removing them also helps when installing the new headunit so you can feed all the cables properly.

just take the hazard button off from the dash (pops out)

Pull the trim off that's above the glove box, starting at the glove box end, remove the torx screws which hold the vents and screen in position and ease out.
