Default Big thanks to Harry at AUTOWERKS

A group of us decended on Autowerks(Harry's place). He kindly offers his premises for us to work in ..
Bobsignum had offered a detailing job on Ian-highlanders car as a Wedding predent for him and Amy.....
Dean(plasma) was stripping his car ready for a virtual respray for the show season.
Khalid(Happypostie was there helping Bob and also supplting the tea and coffee,as well as treating us to fishand chips
Ian(soulman...ME).was respraying his roof spoilerand having a go at changing the steering wheel badge from a griffen to the Opel Blitz..but run out of time when priming stuff under the bonnet/

BTW a previous thread on the griffen badge was reported that there were about 13 metal lugs holding the badge on ... for the preface lift there is only one rivet holding the solid metal badge on as shown in the pictures ..
I will just post up the pictures of the day ....ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!i

I received a private message on Thursday from Bob asking if we were free today for a small "invite only" meetup, and as always we jumped at a chance to spend a day with this great group of guys down at Autowerx especially when it was mentioned that they might be able to have a go at a little bit of the paintwork on my car for us.

A little??? Bob and Khalid between them (with a little help from Amy and I lol) spent at least 6 hours on the car and have done an incredible job on it. Full machine polish, the majority of the scratches and swirls completely removed with only the worst few deeper ones even showing slightly still (and the car was a mess before today paint wise). A full claying, waxing and polishing and a bottle of re-glaze thrown in as a gift to top it off.

Thankyou just doesn't even begin to cover it, but Amy and I want to say a very special HUGE thankyou to Bob and Khalid for their hard work and to Ian, Dean and Harry for being their usual welcoming and friendly selves.

I wasn't completely useless all day helping Dean with a few bits that he was stripping off his car and completely de-badging the back of mine as Bob had the polisher on the bootlid anyway it seemed as good a time as any. The back of the car looks awesome without the badges (and will look even better once the rear lights are changed). I tried to nick Deans spoiler, but hiding it on my boot didn't seem to work, probably because it was blue, but hey it was worth a go, now I know one of the next things on the ever growing shopping list for the car

I've got a few pics I'll post up in a bit, but we had a brilliant day and once again, thanks guys, all of you, but especially Bob and Khalid, we are genuinely touched that you thought to do this for us and it's something we'll not forget in a hurry.

Apologies for the poor quality pics, we took a camera with us but didn't check the batteries before we left (they were dead), so these were all taken on my camera phone.

A real big thanks has to go to Harry ....his workshop was full of cars when we arrived at 9.30(nice to know he is keeping busy).......by 10.30 he had cleared them all out so we could begin work.
Hopefully if the weather stays dry today I can get my car cleaned as it is minging, inside and out.
