    Default strange brake light fault

    Hi disconnected the battery yesterday to add some wiring i need for my rear electric window project, and now the car reports a brake light is out but both are working fine? there were no faults reported before but now it's on and won't go away?

    Are you sure they are working correctly as the vec will use another bulb if the brake one fails. When you have the head lights on and you press the brake you should have four lights lit. Two on each side. Make sure that all the same segments are lit on both sides.
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    Try changing both brakelight bulbs that should prove things either way.

    Good point i did ask my daughter to check for me the wife as the car now i'll check on that when she gets back it just seemed strange that it happened after i disconnected the battery! thanks
