    Default smoking 2.2 petrol signum

    hi im rather new here and this is my first signum

    have an issue with it emmiting smoke from exhaust sometimes when warm em light is on when its smoking i get slight missfire and hesitation

    just wondering if any of you guys have heard of this before it goes to vx

    when ya say smoke ...is it blue ...does it use oil .?......or is it black dark smoke ..? i take its a 22yh ? ....if it is u need the codes read to see what it is ...might be fuel presh reg or pump or it could be the swirl flaps in the manifold ...

    looks dark grey or black smoke lot of soot in exhaust tail pipes suspect over fueling as it only does it betwwn 3000 and above and only if accelerating hard its had fuel pump and sensor both brand new yes its the 22yh newer style version of the 22se

    i would get the codes checked to be 100% but i would say its the swirl flaps either sticking or broke ....

    where are they located and do they just need checked and cleaned is it an easy enough job to do

    if you find the oil filter and look to the left on the under side of the manifold you will see a rod .... try and move it with ya hand see if it is stuck / broken

    You have to take inlet manifold of.This job is for few hours to be done.I'V done this few weeks ago.It's no easy.One of my swirl flaps is chiped(No 3)And I don't know if I should replace it or no?

    right have checked the flaps all moving and in good condition have code read car and it says o2 sensor heater failed but hasnt given actual code to say what one as i gather these engines have 2 lambda sensors

    any idea's gays
