    Default EGR Valve

    Hello
    First post so be gentle.
I have an 04 2.0 DTI Vectra Elite Estate(110K) which has the car/spanner light and car going into limp mode coming on periodically.I've had a basic diagnostic come up with "throttle mechanism negative deviation".
When i spoke to a Mobile Diagnostic bloke(who i've used before) he said that there was no point in him coming out as it's the EGR Valve that's clogged or faulty.Common fault on high mileage diesel Vectras apparently?
So if this is the case where exactly is the EGR located?
    Thanks in advance.

Hi m8 your egr valve is mounted on the front of your engine block just to the right of your dipstick and has two hose connections going into it see pic

Have a search for egr valve cleaning on here there are a couple of how 2 ,s showing you what to do also you might as well do the boost sensor at the same time , if one is blocked up then other usually is as well.

    Hi ibbo
it's an easy quick job,but with your milage check inside the manifold you may find that it's as bad as the EGR valve for carbon build up.
