    Default Stereo experts only lol

Anyone used a canbus connects2 adaptor. Got my headunit working fine now with all the steering wheel controls spot on but only problem is i am not getting a perm live from the connects2 canbus box thing.

Anyone been able to get perm live from one of these or do i have to dig some wire out and run a direct live from the batt.

I have the full canbus connect2... fitted a while ago and IIRC I connected the aux power (for an automatic antenna) to the connect2 box.. Are you looking for perm. live from the adapter box or to it?

My kit (Kenwood DNX5220) only works when the ignition is on...

I have a jvc one an my issue is not having a perm live so i am loosing all my settings every time i take the key out.

I can see on my head units connector there is a perm live and worked fine in my vec b. I guess the connects2 box has a perm live into it as old cd30 had perm live so its there but cant find the perm live coming out of it to go into my headunit.

Was thinking of running a perm live from bat to head unit but if anyone knows how to get one out of the connect box that would be sweet.

I think you may need to change round the red / yellow wires coming out of the back of the radio. They are often fitted with bullet connectors to facilitate this.

Exactly what Gavin Said, Swap the Yellow and Red around. I have a JVC and had to do this HTH...

Rather than swap at the bullet connectors, Unclip the Red and Yellow from the ISO block and swap there...

I have swapped the yellow and the red over but still nothing. There is no perm live going to either the red or yellow once the key is out. Just tried the volt meter on it doh !!!!
