    Default Fishtailing

Got this strange issue going on that's been happening since ownership really; when coming off the throttle and going round a right hand bend I feel this sort of shaking of the car going on, almost as if it's somewhat fishtailing round the bend, if I keep the load/ throttle on it doesn't happen at all, only seems to happen around the 40mph mark and as said only on a right hander! all suspension bushes etc are ok although I do have my doubts about the strut bearings , but not convinced that would be causing it, any suggestions welcome!
    Cheers Pete

Sort of the same thing happened to me not so long ago old cruiser, felt like the back end was going to skip out when cornering around right hand bends and when travelling in a straight line i got the tram lining effect (lorry ruts in the road). It turned out to be my rear shocks were fooked.

when i bought my veccy the back end trying to step out at roundabouts. admittedly i was going a bit quickly around them, but i replaced the NCTs for F1s and it's not done it since no matter how hard i drive. it was excessive tyre roll for me.

When the rear end on mine was skipping out regularly it was rear shocks. Replaced them and it drove like new again.

had this on mine, was rear shock, stick your head under car and if you see hydraulic fluid running out of one or both of them, replace both of them. Easy DIY job.

Hmmm, multiples of 40mph. I usually associate this sort of thing with something being out of balance. Had your wheel balance checked lately?

Tyres are good and well balanced and there's none of this sort of fishtailing going on when driving straight ahead or coasting left round a bend, only the right handers when coasting round them immediatley after coming off throttle, with throttle partially on there's nothing ! could this still be down to the shocks do you think?
