    Default HIDS fitted

Well i finally fitted my hids, bit of faffing with the bulb holders, that literally was the longest part of it, had them working, so closed everything up, then they started to strobe.... not happy ... so took the airbox back out, windscreen fluid pipe, wasn't really sure why it was doing it but I disconnected the extra capacitors, it came with the two large ones and then two smaller ones, took them out and there working tip top (so far).....

If you don't have these already I urge you, go get them NOW... NOW... NOW... there immense, best mod i've done, the difference is just unbelivable, if your undecided, umming and arhing, just do it! I have the 35w 6000k from HIDS direct...

Thanks for that. Does it need to be 50w? Was thinking of 35w 4300k H7's, not fussed about colour, just want to see where I'm going. Standard dip beam halogens were dire, main beam ok

Yes, that's the one I was looking at, but then this thread started with a different company link. I pretty much want to fit and forget and have it work reliably. Think I may stick with this one when I get one.
What did you have before? standard or upgraded? how big a difference do they make? as good as they say?

Originally the factory fitted halogen H7's and H1's. I then fitted Osram nightbreakers, but the dipped H7's only lasted approx 8 months before failing one week apart from each other. Vast improvement fitting the 35W 6000K HID kit and also using Duncan's suggestion of adjusting the lights as they were set too low. I made the height adjustment while I had the nightbreakers fitted.
