seat belt light on dash

hi all as above ever since i have had my facelift elite ive noticed that if i leave the seat belt off when the engine is running the light never come on and also when i take the seat belt off it never pings to tell me so like on my old gsi??? ive checked the fuse and its ok so is there anything else to look for?

you might not have the sensor in the seats.. or its deactivated via tech2..

Think it was removed on the facelift as my old 56 facelift design didn't bong etc whereas my prefacelift signum did.

It was one of these little gadgets that vx dropped from the facelifts. Mine 06 sri doesn't have it either, but my pre-face LS did. Annoying really, my pf veccy had more little gadgets than my fl has got

it doesnt bother me too much but to me its a safety feature which all modern cars still have!! maybe they did it for the taxi drivers

They've done the something similar on the Insignia, first production run models had rear seat occupany detection (has front seat) now they don't.

My half canbus 54 plate elite doesnt do it I can only assume models before October 03 will have it but not sure.
