    Default Almost a newbie....

    Hello,

Im Bowen, 23 from South Wales. Very good website/forum and some real good looking cars.

I currently drive a seat ibiza cupra mk3, aprox 220bhp, its getting old, this a creaking and its guzzling the petrol.

Im looking at buying a black 55plate vectra cdti sri high(ish) mileage 90k.

I have heared stories of the fuel pump packing up on the diesel vectras? can some one be kind enough to shed some light on it?

    thanks for reading.

    Bowen.out.

Its not the fuel pump on the diesels, thats the 2.2 directs really.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Not sure what engine you are looking for but I have a 3.0 V6
Goes well and so much torgue that you have to hold tight to the steering wheel. I get in between 45 and 50 m.p.g. and had well oer 50 when I did a 150 mile long trip in 50 m.p.h traffic.
If you are planning to chip the car though, avoid the V6 as I couldn't find any reputable places that would do it. Some say I could get 225bhp but none seems to do the chips where you can reset back to normal. I think the smaller engines get more power after chipping then the V6 deending how far you want to go.
