small oil leak on vectra c sri

i seem to have a small leak coming from between the bottom pulley and the sump , when i stick my finger up there it comes out with wet oil on it lol , its not bad it dont leave anything on the drive but it gets to running down that plastic cover which fastens to what looks like a part of the chassis , its an 07 plate sri 1.8 vvt with 42000 on the clock , does it sound like the crank seal or is there something else i should be looking for ...........

Sounds like the crankshaft oil seal to me. I would wait and do this as part of a timing belt change if it's not dripping on your drive. You can get oil additives to stop seals leaking but haven't used any and don't know if they work. HTH

don't suppose you are still under warranty? if so get it sorted with vx..

no out of warranty djr , i bought it from arnold " ******s " clark 2 months ago , 30 days and your history , yeah will get it sorted with cam belt tridley ...... thanks for the advice
