Smile I'm off to view a Porsche

Well a 1986 944 Lux with 63k on the clock. Its been laid up for a couple of years but prior to a change in the owners circumstances it was doing the rounds at various Porsche shows.

If its as good as i'm led to believe it should be a nice little project for me to revive and use for some fun

White with burgundy half leather and full Porsche service history. Due to it being a "non runner" at the moment i'm hoping to pick it up for a snip

Will take some pics when i'm there to show later.

    Jon

I think the new Boxster is in a league of its own, drive one and they are fantastic fun, put the power down nicely and the chassis is fantatsic!

Still prefer the 911 carrera 2 convertible

    Love the 944.

Always something about the cars you idolised as a young teen sticking with you forever.

A friends father, back in the day, had a 944, ofc until he wrote it off. Bet has glad he didnt buy the 959 he testdrove a few weeks before

    Ooh........959........pure automotive pr0n.

Look OK, sound good, but a real tail-happy handful to drive (IMHO of course )!

Much preferred my old 928 - better balanced.

    Not to be i'm afraid

The paint had "fractured all over the roof and bonet. Weird as it looked like a piece of glass that had shattered and not broke.

So to start with a potential respray means it's not worth it for me.

The Vectra is happy though as it means he can stay in the garage
