    Default Dashboard Trim strip.

All, I am soon going to be removing the centre screen display and vents on my 56 / 07 Reg facelift SRi, I've looked through a lot of the how to's but unless I've missed something I cant find anything in any of the various how to's that I've looked at that makes reference to how to remove the plastic strip / trim that runs across the dashboard and along the lower edge of the screen surround / vent housing.

I know that the retaining screws etc are beneath this trim and just need to know how to remove it to gain access to these screws, I imagine that they are of the usual "Push fit" / "Clip in" type but would rather be certain of the best way of how to remove them before I start,

your help / advice, as always, would be much appreciated,

    Regards,
    Saxman.

If you open the glove compartment door it enables a good grip on the strip. Pull the strip straight back, not at an angle. When you release the first clip you will soon get the idea. There are pegs on the back which locate into spring clips. HTH

Thanks for the reply, when you say "Pull the strip straight back" once the glove compartment door is open, do you mean pull it towards the passenger side door, similar maybe to sliding the strip from its clips rather than "Popping" it off them with say a flat blade screwdriver ?

Pull it back towards yourself. The pegs on the rear are horizontal.
