    as above anyone know what these cars are like me and the missus are going car hunting for the next few weeks?

    not sure what a 225 is but current mrs Keving has 04 Megane, so far 4 window regulators gone, this means the windows just drops normally when its raining, about £350 each, something called a diffuser which means cambelt off (kicked and scream at Renault UK and got 50% off) £750, 3 coils gone, local AA man keeps one in stock for us, £40 fitted by AA. I'm sure they are not all this bad, but i would never by another. Sorry m8

    My mate has a yellow 225 cup, he loves it... although it only gets driven on a weekend.

    Not my cuppa tea, i heard they're worse than vx for breaking & elec faults

    a friend of mine has one and loves it. but he works at sea so he only home 6 m,onths of the year and doesnt do much with it.

    mate youve been getting rammed. 350 each for regulators i change them on a daily basis. 60-80 quid depending on availability 30 mins to replace.

    225s arnt to bad, although usuall renault electrical gremlines window regulators the main one..

    2 were done under extended warrenty as they are a known fault (extended to 4 years), i need to know do the front ones myself,
    buy a Renault and get rammed all the time

    Great cars i had 1 for 2 years no probs at all! the 05 onwards cars are better built,the cup packed versions are more sought after.Mine was stage 1 mapped by RS tuning leeds 260 bhp and 275 lbft torque,rapid!!! check out meganesport.net for all the info

    I had one half decent renault, but they went on a decent after that & i would never buy another..
