    Default Zaffira GSI

Just been looking on line at prices. Why are they still so expensive? from anywhere between £4k upto £8k for a 2005 model. Are they really that good? All comments are welcome.

    Cheers H

I take you've seen Mavericks thread then LOL.

I guess its because they're a "Cool Daddy Bus" and the engine is very tunable. TBH I wouldnt mind a Zafira VXR or GSI...

Tell me about it, I had no choice but to get a bigger car because Iv'e just had my 4th Child.

    I Traded in my 2005 3.2 Gsi Vec + £2000 to get a 2004 Zafria GSI.

Thing is there is nothing really like a Zafria GSI on the market, hence why they hold their value. They are pretty basic compared to say a specced up VEC, but drive really well and are highly tunable. They also look good (In my eyes) for a 7 seater.
It also doesn't feel like a bus when you drive it.

Yeah it was Mavericks thread that sparked my enquiry. Lol. I've all ways liked the look of them - never driven one though. I'm looking to change my Siggy turbo over the next couple of months so might be worth a look but really want something newer not older. Are they a reliable bus?

They do a VXR zafira too... A little more pricey but lovely looking cars. What about one of them? There's one down near the father in laws, I always drive by slowly to have a good look.

There's no way on earth I'd put my kids in the "boot" of any of these mini-seven seaters.

Watch this and tell me if you would.

As said on my Bio thread, the Zafira GSi is officialy the least depreciating car in history.

They are alot better than the VXR too. The GSi is a good all rounder,

    1) looks good.
    2) Can hold it's own against most cars on the road (real cars, not your RS4's, AMG's etc).
    3) Cheap to Run and Insure
    4) Good on fuel (Better than the 1.8 and 2.2)
    5) Handle well

People are hanging on to the good ones. Back in 2006, we looked at a new VXR, but after driving one, the car was spoilt, it was too hard core, too aggressive although the chassis was better. But the VXR didnt have the overall complete feel that the GSi had.

It shows as well, the VXR has been a relative sales flop compared to the GSi. Oh and guess whats coming back next year in the new Zafira C?..........................The Zafira GSi in both twin turbo diesel and 230bhp 2.0 Turbo.

Remember, you have Astra G mechanical's which are cheap.

Would I have another? Oh yeah! there are even a few '06' plate GSi's about if you look.
