    i started off with 8k but grew out of the blue tinge so ended up with 6k which i think are the best.

    I got the 6000k 35w and i dont need to use my main beam...

    6000k imo is best balance between colour & brightness.

    There's no option for 5000k! I have these and they are similar to OEM HIDS, but just a bit whiter.

    I have 50w 6000k at the moment, very good but when/if i have to replace the bulbs i will be going 5000k next time. Its each to their own.

    My other car. 1972 1641cc slammed beetle. On the road finally!!

    Hmm, not gone HID yet, considering it. I currently have 5800k xenon replacement bulbs, much better than standard.
    From what I've seen of the colour chart, 4300k is the brightest, but very few use them. Why? is it for looks, are they too bright? Though I'd ask before I splash out on some.

    Think its just due to looks fella. Some people prefer them to have a slight blue tinge to them as it adds a more expensive look to them i guess.

    I want 6k ones though.

    Ok, thanks. Not really fussed about the blue tinge, just want to be able to see where I'm going without dazzling others.

    I've got 5000k's in mine. Tried the 6000k bulbs, but found them too blue for my linking. The 5000k's are a good colour and great brightness. Not had any trouble from blinding other drivers either!
