Was driving to hand out wedding invites
And a was goin up a hill..heard a loud pop and after that no power, poped the hood and noticed when a reved it the big hose that it connected to throttlebody to the intercooler is closing together. shut.and the hoses where really hot to touch.the two hoses connected to the anti frezze bottle where red got...took it too my dads friends garage at first he said turbo or intercooler is dead...but he noticed the car was not sucking in air through the air intake.and some white smoke out back...now hes said the timing has jumped.before when a was drivin to the garage and floored it in 2nd gear and could only do 22mph.never thought timing belt...may have somethin to do wit the timing been off maybe only driving on 3values instead of the 8?(can that happen).oh also about 3wks ago a checked the oil it was in the middle of the marker.and now when garaged checked it infront of me there was nothing in it..a could have dyed myself..had to leave it in the garage goin to look at it on tuesday. Hopefully no damage..car still starts fine and sounds ok just no power.told not to start it again pushed it in his garage..car is sitting at 66k for a 1.9cdti was getting belt kit changed at 70k... Am gutted this happens and a get married in 12wks........

egr stuck ? Cleaned it 2wks ago..but never fully cleaned by drilling the hole and using a center punch part..

Any ideas guys or some more info about this thanks

If the timing was out it wouldn't run, the pump timing doesn't matter it can be anywhere coz its common rail, it sounds to me like its an intercooler problem tbh.

Something has to be blocked in the air intake line to cause the hose to be collapsing when there's a demand placed on it. White smoke is caused by water in the cylinders normally but in this case I'd ignore that for now and find the blockage first...

TBH your garage seems to be taking a shot in the dark by the sound of things, first it's turbo or intercooler, then it's timing and now it's turbo oil seals.

I'm thinking the intercooler has colapsed and is restricting air flow.

Surely there are some fault codes showing

Just to make sure the turbo is primed with lots of clean oil and obviously that whoever is doing it isnt a knuckle dragging ape.
