My Insurance Is How Much?

Hi Everyone,
I Am Due To Renew My Insurance Tomorrow....i Have Just Told Them About The Mods On My Car....irmy Grille/spolier & Twin Exhausts.i Have A 2.2 Dti Sri 2003 Model & My Original Renewal Quote Was £274..with The Mods They Now Want Over £500.....can Anyone Reccomend A Good Insurance For Cars With Such Mods?.

I Wasn`t Taking Any Risks....i Even Told Them About My Irmscher Badge & My Carpets......it Might Pay Just To Mention It As I Has A Claim Refused Oned For Some Thing On My Licence That The Idiot In The Insurance Office Omitted To Put Down On My Proposal Form...i Am Going Back A Few Yaers & Things Have Tightened Up Since Then.my Claim Was Void & It Cost Me Nearly £5000 For Repairs To A Bridge......i Tried To Counter Claim From The Brewery That Supplied Me With The Beer.

Yes you should really tell them about any non-standard parts.
Some insurance companies care more about certain mods than others.
You really need to go to the more specialised insurance companies, like adrian flux, that understand what you have done to the car.

Usually though the mods are not covered by the insurance policy. Say you told them that you have an Irmy grille. If you have a front end crash they will probably only replace it with the standard vx grille. But it could be better than them in-validating your insurance claim.

I Just Rang Up My Old Insurance To Cancel My Renewal & They Asked Me Why I Had Done So....i Told Them About The Mods & Asked Them Why It Was So Much?....the Cheeky B111h Sait They Dont Insure `boy Racers`.....
Well Lads/lassies,according To The `aa Ins Company`,we Are A Load Of Boy Racers!....brmmm! Brmmm!
