Rich is selling a copy, with less damage... But it would repair with fibre glass behind it...
dawm sorry mate
easy job. fiberglass/mat/resin. do a youtube search on how to . diy kits sold at car spares.
cool will look into this was looking at a copy too on ebay. here but i kinda liked the irmscher one on my car as everything else is irmy..(lol) but refuse to pay £340 for another needs a respray anyway which i was going to do in the summer so am going to try and repair it.. looked at bigrich's one it did appeal to me, but going to birmingham and back will cost me £25 on top of that. could do with one with another while i repair mine..
Bit of silver duct tape would sort that out for now anyway bud
My fibreglass one is coming off next weekend... I've cracked mine but got an irmy one to replace it, should be able to be flatted off and repaired without a problem.. Trouble is its in blue though mate. and will be up in Milton Keynes on the 22nd
Plasma's Tech2 services are now open and able to provide services
thanks for the offer plasma got one sorted now, and im going to try and repair the irmy one.
does anyone know if this will be sufficient to repair my broken one??
fibre glass kit
filler
also what grit do i need to prepare for painting??
and where can i buy star silver paint from to use in a paint gun??
thanks
DO NOT use one of them kits. They're useless. I used to be a GRP laminator building Yachts and Robin Reliant body shells would you believe (yes it was me, sorry ). Find a GRP laminating company in your area and nip in and get one and a half ounce matting, resin and catalyst from them. You'll also need acetone as well for cleaning up afterwards (but keep that well away from your work). Give the inside of the splitter a good roughing up before you apply the mat and if you can get a laminating roller from the company all the better. Just use normal filler on the outside. Pity you aint closer I would have done it for you
