Default How to fix that ANNOYING CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEM

HOW TO FIX THAT ANNOYING DOES IT WORK OR DOES IT NOT WORK CRUISE CONTROL ISSUE TRY THIS FIRST.
    1. get a paint brush and knife
    2. remove the control arm from the car with a sharp tug.
    3. remove the rubber part from the arm.
    4. turn upside down.
    5. useing the knife carefully remove the backing plate.
    6. remove the inside of the arm be carefull here as it is still connected with two very small clips at the outside end.
    7. pull and unclip the button end of the arm again being carefull not to lose the two small springs.
    8. using the paint brush clean the end of control in which you will see between the two silver miro chips the plastic pins that get stuck with dust and fluff.
    9. clean the springs and dust off all the other parts then put back together.

my cruise controll is never worked so well untill i done this and wow im amazed at the diffence try it.

I wouldnt want to try this as I would prob be left with a useless control arm......well done to you for doing it.

Its done in 'seconds' the correct way and i wouldnt advise anybody to tug or snatch against the 'clip' that holds it in place, the 'how 2' shows how to do this easily.

agree, great 'how to' but dont pull the arm out, slide a paper clip up the groove and it falls out.

agree with comments. no point yanking it out and risking breaking when a paperclip releases it gently in seconds!

Before attempting this ensure the spring behind the foot pedal (cannot remember which pedal!) is not borken as this is a major cause of the cruise control not working

Peter Griffin: Ah, c'mon, Lois, isn't 'bribe' just another word for 'love'?
